Student volunteers program

ECOOP 2002 invites applications for student volunteers

Student volunteers profile:

20 positions are available for computer science students with a good knowledge of English who would like to help by providing some technical support for the ECOOP 2002 conference.

Duties will include:

  • providing technical assistance for the workshops, tutorials and main conference sessions,
  • helping at the registration desk, mail-room, demonstration area, refreshment area and other conference sites,
  • arranging, re-arranging and dearranging conference facilities.

Volunteers must be available to assist at least one of the two days of the workshops and tutorials sessions, and for half of the time of the main conference.

Successful applicants will be offered:

  • cheap accommodation in student residence and hotels (around € 30 per night per person),
  • free admission to selected tutorials, workshops and main conference,
  • free lunches and coffee breaks.

Important dates and selection criteria:

  • Applicants must send a short CV (shorter than one page) via e-mail to alvarezp@lcc.uma.es
  • CV should include a letter of introduction from a faculty member.
  • The deadline for applying is April 15, 2002.
  • All applicants will receive information about acceptance by May 6, 2002
  • Selection will be done on a First Received First Accepted basis among suitable submissions.
